Steel City Fueling Systems, Inc. is a full service environmental contracting company.  We specialize in installing turn-key fuel storage and pumping systems for emergency generators and boilers at medical facilities, data centers, coal mines, military bases, universities, telecommunication companies, correctional institutions and mission critical operation centers.  On large, complex projects our expertise and attention to detail is applied to all phases of the project.  This ranges from preparing equipment submittal packages and permitting to coordinating our work with other trades and installing the equipment in accordance with contract drawings and written specifications.  We also prepare operation and maintenance manuals and perform owner training on the equipment we install.  Our staff currently maintains certifications for underground and aboveground storage tank installation and removal in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.  Services in other states are available upon request. 

NEW: GREEN FUELING TECHNOLOGIES

Instituting "green" fueling technologies and environmental stewardship are critical to protect the earth for future generations and we focus on integrating these principals into our business on a daily basis. 

After much anticipation, Steel City Fueling Systems, Inc. has finally begun installing two biodiesel fueling stations in the greater Pittsburgh area.  One dedicated for use by the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works 2nd Division and one in Braddock, PA for the owners of vehicles that are properly modified to run on the grades of biodiesel being offered at that location.  The bio or non-petroleum based fuel for these stations will be provided by Fossil Free Fuel of Braddock, PA.  Plans are in progress to install an additional biodiesel fueling station in the south side area of Pittsburgh which will provide authorized users the option of selecting various blends of biodiesel up to B99. Certain customers may also have the option of selecting 100% vegetable oil if their vehicles have been outfitted with the custom equipment required to operate on this alternative "green" fuel in this region of the country. 

Steel City Fueling Systems, Inc. is also currently installing a biodiesel fueling system at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA and we are under contract with the Western Pennsylvania Operating Engineers to install a biodiesel fueling system at the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program facility in New Alexandria, PA. This alternative fueling system will be used as a pilot program to test the feasiblity of using different blends of biodiesel at various temperature ranges in the heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, loaders, bulldozers and cranes that construct our buildings, factories, bridges and roads.
